Scriptures About Healing

 (King James Version unless otherwise noted.)

3 John 1:2:  I wish above all things that you would prosper and be in good health. 

 2 Timothy 3:16:  All scripture is breathed by God and is profitable for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

James 1:17:  Every good gift is from God, who does not change like shifting shadows.

John 10:10: The thief comes only to kill, steal, and destroy.  I have come that they may have life and life abundantly.

1 John 3:8:  He that sins is of the devil, for the devil sins from the beginning, and Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil.  

Acts 10:38: God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost and with power and he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil because God was with him.

Luke 4:18:  The spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.  He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to  release the oppressed, and to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Galatians 3:13: Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” 

John 14:12-14:  He that believes in me the works that I do shall he do also and greater works than these because I go to the father, and whatsoever you ask in my name, I will do it so that the father will be glorified.  You may ask anything in my name and I will do it.

Matthew  8:16-17:  He cast out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick.  This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah, “He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases.”

Isaiah 53:4-5: Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.  But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24: Who himself bare our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.

Romans 8:11  (NIV)  And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.

Matthew  9:20-22:  A woman who had bled for 12 years came up behind Him, and touched the hem of his garment.  She thought, “If only I can touch his garment.”  Jesus turned and saw her and said, “Take heart, your faith has healed you.  And she was healed from that moment. 

 Matthew  9:27-29:  Two blind men cried out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David.”  He asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”  “Yes, Lord.” they replied.  Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith will it be done unto and their sight was restored.” 

Hebrews 11:1: Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  It is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Hebrews 11:3: Through faith we understand that the world was framed by the word of God.  The universe was formed at God’s command so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. 

James 5:14-16: Is anyone sick among you?  He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.  And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up.

Mark 16:17: And these signs shall follow them that believe.   In my name, they shall cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will place their hands on the sick and they will be healed.

Mark 11:22-24:  And Jesus said,  “Have faith in God, for I say that whosoever says to this mountain, “Be thrown into the see and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he has said will happen it will be done for him.  Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours.

Matthew 18:18-19:  I tell you the truth, whatsoever you bind in earth, shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Luke 22:19-20:  He gave them bread saying,  “This is my body that is given to you;  do this in remembrance of me.  In the same way, after the supper, he took the cup, saying, this cup is the new covenant in my blood which is poured out for you.  

1 Corinthians 11:28-30:  A man ought to examine himself before he eats the bread and drinks of the cup.  For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself.  That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.

1 Corinthians 12:7-9: Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.  To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Sprit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.

Matthew   8:2-7: A leper came and worshiped him saying, “Lord if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man.  “I am willing,” he said.  “Be clean!” Immediately he was cured of his leprosy.

Philippians 1:4-6   In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 13:8:  Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.  

Matthew 19:26   (Amplified)  But Jesus looked at them and said, With men this is impossible, but all things are possible with God.
